Space Kidz India is an organization that has some celebrated achievements. It is the only organization to launch 12 balloon satellites, 2 sub-orbital satellites, and 2 orbital satellites. This time it has added another feather to its cap by successfully launching the satellite, Satish Dhawan SAT (SD SAT) from Sriharikota, ISRO on 28th Feb, 2021.
The Satish Dhawan Satellite or the SD SAT, is a 3u CUBESAT named after the Former Chairman and one of the founding fathers of the Indian Space Program, Professor Sathish Dhawan. This satellite was developed and launched to cover the following objectives:
The SD SAT also tests the capabilities of LoRa technology in space. This could be exponentially helpful for many applications in the future for short and machine to machine communication.
Hexaware is immensely elated to support the endeavors of Space Kidz India and wishes it success as infinite as the universe.
