Appasaheb Joins the Workforce With Confidence
Appasaheb, 22, overcame speech and hearing impairments to find employment through the Pankh Project, creating sustainable livelihoods for persons with disabilities.
We support the Pankh Project, creating sustainable livelihoods for persons with disabilities. In collaboration with TRRAIN, Appasaheb Sudhakar Vetal, 22, from Aurangabad, enrolled at our Pune center. The program built his confidence, communication skills, and retail knowledge. His dedication paid off when he secured a role as a Customer Service Associate, bringing joy and independence to his life.
A Lake Restored: The Polachery Story
Working with the Chengalpattu District Collectorate and EFI, Hexaware helped restore Polachery Lake, deepening its capacity by 40% and replanting native trees.
Polachery Lake, near Mambakkam, Chennai, had lost structural integrity due to invasive weeds and solid waste. Working with the Chengalpattu District Collectorate and the Environmentalist Foundation of India (E.F.I), the lake was fully restored. Weeds were removed, storage capacity increased by 40%, bunds strengthened, nesting islands established to enhance biodiversity, and native trees planted to enrich the surrounding greenery.
How Early Support Helped Srinath Thrive
Through early intervention, Srinath, 6, with developmental delays and autism, progressed to perform daily activities independently and transitioned to a special school.
Our early intervention program supports children aged 0 to 7 at risk for developmental disabilities. Srinath, a six-year-old with developmental delays and autism, received comprehensive early intervention at our center. We worked on sensory integration, communication, and social skills, equipping his parents with training in daily living and play. This helped Srinath perform daily activities independently and move to a special school.
Sadhana and Kaviya Go Back to School
Two young dropouts from Kannagi Nagar found a structured learning environment through Hexaware’s support and enrolled in Ezhilnagar Middle School in Chennai.
Sadhana and Kaviya, two young dropouts from the Kannagi Nagar community, were without formal education when our team stepped in. We provided a structured environment at Rainbow Community Care Learning Center, focusing on social skills, reading, and writing. We supported their mother, and through regular follow-ups, helped the family recognize the importance of schooling, ultimately enrolling both children in Ezhilnagar Middle School in Chennai.
