Our client has to deal with a scattered landscape of various operational applications historically driven by various sources. Consolidation of source information was complex and costly.
Hexaware worked closely with the client to build a process and technology stack for enabling a better exchange of data and future proof integration. This was required to simplify the data exchange between applications. It helps create better integration between various sources for data quality controls and to facilitate data governance.
The core objective was to build an Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and Business Intelligence (BI) solution covering multiple functional areas that would overcome the following challenges in the existing reporting environment.
- Non-existence of centralised data store, catering to the reporting needs
- Delays in data delivery
- Lack of ad-hoc reporting capability
- Feeding accurate data to the downstream systems/applications
As a Greenfield project, Hexaware built an Operational Data Store and Enterprise Data Warehouse to support business analysis by integrating data from systems across enterprises on Microsoft Azure SQL database.
Hexaware created a reporting platform to analyse data across different functional areas, including finance, claims, churns, products, forecast, opportunity, sales and workflow management.
The scope also included designing a scalable data model and reporting platform to accommodate additional functional areas for future reporting.
Hexaware provided a solution framework that addressed acute pain points for finance and workflow management, addressing requirements of both business and technical users.
