Our client’s vision was to have Data Value Management at the core and to consolidate the disparate reports into a Single Unified view for the enterprise.
The challenges:
- Absence of enterprise data model
- Multiple systems from where data was being consumed in a very silo-ed format
- Datamarts are business reporting driven and not architecturally sustainable
- Resource-centric delivery model without a common goal resulting in a disproportionate outcome
- DataHub has an ODS data model which is not directly compatible for business reporting and controls
- Business departments were not able to map their reports to the given DataHub
Hexaware strategised an Enterprise Data Transformation Program by revamping the Business Intelligence Competency Center (BICC) – a factory-based approach to acquisition, preparation, reporting, analytics, dashboards, and insights to centralise, control and coordinate how the information is consumed across the organisation.
Hexaware created a componentised model with Data Provisioning – Flexible Architecture, Data Governance – Execution– Knowledge Management and Data for Reporting & Analytics.
We consolidated all the BI Change, Run and Reporting Services while identifying and eliminating slowdown factors and establishing a delivery focused, governance-enabled, agile and highly scalable BI organisation.
Major benefits delivered to the client are:
- Approximately 35% cost takeout as a result of consolidation and automation
- Enabled business reporting from DataHub. 15+ datamarts delivered – that provides unified insights of operations and commercials – on top of Guidewire DataHub
- DataHub configurations (and datamarts) for Commercial and Personal lines for Bound and Quotes
- ETL customisation to accommodate custom (not OOB) needs
- MI reporting on DataHub using SAS DI, EG
- End-to-end automated reporting for reconciliation of data with stage-wise traceability
- Access to intuitive reports
