A new version of an application gets deployed to production via automated CI / CD pipeline, but gets hit with an undetected memory leak when used at scale. So the system crashes periodically.
The outage, as detected by the application monitoring systems, is logged as a ticket and an application support automation bot picks up the ticket. Via automated log analysis and source-of-truth as recorded in the Infrastructure-As-Code system, it is able to correlate the crashes with the release of the new version.
