A Leading Client Administrator in US, had a reporting application with 147 reports, 560 clients, and 12775 active schedules in production. Hexaware was involved in performing impact analysis. Manual impact analysis was time consuming, due the increased number of reports. The analysis also injected multiple defects into the production, which adversely impacted end customer service and increased rework. As a bottom up disruption initiative, we developed BIMA (Business Intelligence Metadata Analyzer) for WebFOCUS, which extracts metadata from report files, database master files, structures and stores them in database format. Designed and developed an interface for querying metadata, helped in rendering the process more efficient.
