Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets

Our
Solutions
Our Solution
The solution was aimed at deriving long-term business benefits by transforming the legacy on-premise monolithic applications to cloud-native microservices-based applications.
We started with transforming their existing airport terminal customer services application.
A cloud-native transformation is a major undertaking and there will be setbacks. We focused on early and consistent wins as they are important for maintaining commitment and momentum within the development teams. We followed a four-step process.

OUR
SOLUTIONS
Our team of experts built a ‘study execution hub’ platform leveraging business process management tools to optimize clinical trials oversight and management of protocol deviations. We leveraged automation with prebuilt guided workflows driving end-to-end and seamless study operations oversight. One of our focus areas was to enable the business users to connect to the mobile-enabled Hub App for centralized study and site monitoring. We could fast-track time-to-market with low-code platforms.
The key to success in a cloud-native transformation journey is monitoring and managing the application on the cloud. It is essential to know what to monitor and how to monitor, what is better suited to be aggregated as metrics versus being logged, and how and when to use the data from the sources to derive actionable alerts and insightful analysis.
Through the cloud-native platform, we were able to replace traditional pre-deployment acceptance testing with automated monitoring in production. This was one of the key benefits that we provided by releasing small changes more often with microservices. This enabled the client to reduce the deployment rollback rate significantly. We were also able to alert their teams only to see vents generated by their own systems, and they never had to worry about issues generated by other teams. This led to quicker resolution of issues and had a significant impact on the cloud modernization journey.
Manage
As the next step, we forward engineered the microservices using cloud native 12-factor application development principles. Decentralized development teams worked and developed applications as microservices. Orchestration of the services and exposure of services of third-party consumption was done through the API gateway.
The solution reused organization-wide enterprise services and shared business services through the enterprise service bus. A new omnichannel digital SPA front-end was provisioned. Agile and DevOps (CI/CD Automation, Containerization, and Software Defined Infrastructure) were implemented for seamless Release Management, On-demand provisioning, and scaling up and scaling down with elastic load balancing in AWS cloud. At this stage, we delivered the services in a series of minimum viable products (MVPs) every 2 weeks, which helped us capture user feedback earlier and deliver user-requested capabilities much quicker.
Re-architect, Design and Build
In this phase, we reverse-engineered the monolith application functionality using domain-driven design principles into self-contained services, which can be orchestrated together to achieve the full functionality of the legacy suite of the application. At this stage, we also identified a smaller set of services where strong wins could be generated from transformation much earlier, without incurring negative costs during the later stages.
This usually involves a series of exploratory proof-of-concept experiments by modernizing few services as microservices and deploying them on the cloud. These proof-of-concept experiments helped the client decide on the strategy, the development sequences of these services, and fine-tuning of the processes. We are thus able to identify the risks much earlier and accordingly implement a migration plan. The output of this phase was the creation of the user stories in the ALM tool JIRA.
Understand
We initiated the process by assessing the legacy monolith to understand key business processes, dependencies, integrations and interfaces, existing application inventory and sizing and existing infrastructure sizing.
