Application ReHosting

Legacy applications still provide the core services that power our business today. COBOL still remains the most widely used programming languages accounting for 75% of all computer transactions. Although these systems provide mission-critical business functionality, they represent an estimated USD 2 trillion worth of assets that are dated & not flexible, costing an enormous amount of maintenance & running costs.

Application Rehosting Methodology

Yes, with Hexaware’s rehosting approach, your organization can meet long term goals and achieve consistent ROI.

In an Application Rehosting exercise all application components including sources, copybooks, procs, JCLs are typically ‘Lifted’ from Mainframe environment & re compiled with the .net Cobol compiler which produces MSIL verifiable code to run under .NET platform. The compiled code then runs under products which emulate CICS (for online transactions) & JES2 (for Batch processing)

Benefits of Re Hosting under .NET
